Lead Paint

Lead may be found in paint, dust or soil and is a serious problem because it can enter the body through ingestion or inhalation. To avoid the health risks associated with lead poisoning, it’s important to have your building inspected prior to any works which may disturb lead paint.

Depending on the level of exposure, lead can cause damage to the nervous system including, headaches, high blood pressure, digestive problems or muscle and joint disorders.

The two methods of lead testing are:

  1. Paint inspection — Determines the lead content of painted surfaces in your home.

  2. Risk assessment — Identifies sources of lead exposure including paint and lead dust, and specifies what actions are required.

Some of the services we can offer can range from taking one or more samples of the paint and get this tested via our chosen UKAS accredited laboratory or we can survey the building for lead based paints and create a survey document on completion.

All samples are tested via the UKAS Accredited lab and full conclusive results will be provided
